Mission details:

• Yantar-4K2 "Kobalt" close-look photoreconnaissance satellite. The satellite carries two externally-mounted film-return capsules, which are returned to Earth while the main spacecraft remains in orbit; conical descent module is returned to Earth at the end of the flight. There are some reports that this flight has introduced an improved model of the Yantar-4K2 satellites.
• Cosmos 2410 was de-orbited on January 9, 2005 but the descent module had not been found two weeks later. Calculations suggest that the landing opportunities were January 9.27 and Jan 9.33. The lifetime of 106,6 days is shorter than the last flights in this series, posing the question whether the satellite was recalled earlier than expected.
